What Is a Christian?
A Christian is someone who believes in and follows Jesus Christ — trusting that He is the Savior of the world. We acknowledge our sin and place our faith in Jesus, who offers a peace unlike anything the world can give. The world’s peace is temporary — more money, more pleasure, more distractions — yet it never lasts. True and lasting peace begins with being at peace with God.

Do you have that peace?

The Bible tells us that the root of our unrest is sin — our separation from God.

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23

When God created mankind, there was perfect peace between God, ourselves, and one another. But when Adam chose to disobey God, sin entered the world, and that peace was lost. We’ve all inherited that sinful nature.

“Just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.” — Romans 5:12

We are not sinners simply because of what we’ve done — we are sinners by nature. The question is: How can we be forgiven?

The Good News (Gospel)
The Gospel — “good news” — is that forgiveness and peace with God are possible! And it’s not about what we do, but about what Jesus has already done.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6

Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, came into the world to take our sins upon Himself. Sinless and perfect, He willingly died on the Cross so we could be forgiven.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” — 2 Corinthians 5:21

Why did He have to die? Because our sin — our lies, lusts, hatred, greed, addictions — demanded payment. Only His perfect blood could pay that debt. This is the greatest act of love.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” — John 3:16

And the story doesn’t end at the Cross — three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, proving His power over sin and death. He is alive today and offers you new life.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

How to Begin a Relationship With Jesus
Jesus calls this being “born again” — made spiritually alive by the Holy Spirit (John 3:3). You don’t have to fix yourself first — come as you are, and let Him change you from the inside out.

Here’s how to respond:

Admit you need God’s forgiveness.
Repent — turn from your sin and toward God.
Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the grave.
Receive Him as Lord and Savior, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide your life.

You can express this decision in prayer, such as:

“Dear God, I admit that I am a sinner. Please forgive me of my sins. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. I put my trust in Him as my Savior and Lord. From this day forward, I am Yours. Help me follow You all my days. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” — Romans 10:9

YES, I PRAYED THAT PRAYER!!
